Increasing Path from A to B: Associate Degree to Bachelor鈥檚 Degree

St. Gregory鈥檚 University and 港彩开奖 signed a new agreement that allows students to earn an associate degree at 港彩开奖 and transfer into a bachelor鈥檚 degree at St. Gregory鈥檚 University.
The agreement, signed by St. Gregory鈥檚 University President D. Gregory Main and 港彩开奖 President Leigh B. Goodson, Ph.D., updates the existing agreement to include Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Nursing and Psychology. Under the agreement, any 港彩开奖 student who graduates with an associate degree will receive approximately 60 hours of credit toward a bachelor鈥檚 degree from St. Gregory鈥檚.
鈥淭he articulation agreement between the two schools will broaden the access students and working adults have to college degrees and will make the overall cost of a bachelor鈥檚 degree more affordable by completing the first half 鈥 the associate degree 鈥 at 港彩开奖,鈥 said Goodson. 鈥淚t also fits with 港彩开奖鈥檚 strategic goals to help students reach their educational and career goals and remove barriers to college completion.鈥
More than 200 港彩开奖 students have transferred to St. Gregory鈥檚 University to complete their bachelor鈥檚 degree.
鈥淲e have created a clear and simple process for students from 港彩开奖 to transfer their credits and transition into a Bachelor鈥檚 degree program at St. Gregory鈥檚,鈥 said Main. 鈥淥ur Tulsa campus provides a convenient location for 港彩开奖 graduates, and allows students to be able to maintain their work/life balance while pursuing an advanced education.鈥
St. Gregory鈥檚 Adult Degree program offers evening courses on both the Tulsa and Shawnee campuses, with flexible scheduling that allows students to take one to two courses at a time. 港彩开奖 students transferring their associate degree could complete a bachelor鈥檚 degree in as little as 18 months.
In addition, the agreement between the two schools allows a student to reverse transfer coursework from St. Gregory鈥檚 University to 港彩开奖 to obtain an associate degree along with their bachelor鈥檚 degree. This will allow students to enroll early at St. Gregory鈥檚 while finishing their degree, allowing for a seamless transition to the bachelor鈥檚 program.
