Artists and writers are invited to submit to “CURIOSITY,” an exhibition by the Center for Creativity in downtown Tulsa. The exhibition will highlight discovery, inquiry, and the lived experience, with an aim to foster connection and understanding between the artists and the exhibition viewers. Inspired by ۲ʿ’s common book I Never Thought of it That Way by Monica Guzman, the exhibition will explore artists’ unique perspectives and visions. Our goal is to showcase a wide range of works that celebrate the spirit of CURIOSITY.
Artworks in all media, including poetry, prose, visual art, sound, and film/video will be considered, but please note installation considerations below. Works in progress and proposals for new work will be considered.

COMPENSATION
Each artist selected for the exhibition will be paid a $100 honorarium after the artwork(s) is delivered. Collaborative works created by more than one artist will receive only one honorarium. ۲ʿ employees and ۲ʿ students are not eligible for the honorarium. Selected artists may be invited to submit workshop proposals, which are eligible for additional compensation.

Artwork may be offered for sale, but all details of the transaction, including any applicable taxes, must be handled solely by the artist. No commission will be assessed.

CONSIDERATIONS
Artwork must arrive ready to hang/display. No holes can be nailed or drilled into the walls or floor of the exhibition space. Work may be displayed via a hook and wire hanging system, on podiums, or on the floor. Adhesive decals that are easily removed may be used on windows or walls. Artists may also build/create their own display solution.

All artworks must be delivered directly to the Center for Creativity in Tulsa. Artists may also ship work at their own expense, including a pre-paid return shipping label.

Accepted artists must e-sign an electronic exhibition agreement before artwork is delivered. All art exhibitions are deemed at the artist's own risk.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Each artist may submit up to two works for consideration. Submissions are via this link and must include a high-quality photograph of each work, a word document or PDF, a link to a sound or video file, or a description/sketch of the work (if the work is in progress or a proposal for new work.)
